General Participant Rules
If you’re participating in the Kerala Street Food Cooking Contest, please review these important guidelines:

Participant Rules:
- Cook at Home: Prepare your chosen Kerala street food dish at home and bring it to the park picnic.
- Serving Quantity: Prepare enough to serve at least 5 people (for the judging panel).
- Sampling Portions: Bring small, bite-sized portions for attendees to sample and enjoy.
- Food Safety: All entries must be prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Ingredient Card: Each dish must include a card listing all ingredients (to help attendees with allergies and dietary preferences).
- Setup Time: Contestants should arrive at least 30 minutes before judging begins for setup.
- Scratch Made: All food must be made from scratch (no store-bought or ready-made items permitted).
- Dish Information: Include brief written information about the dish: name, origin, and any special notes.
- Clean Up: Clean up your area after the event and take back any leftover food or containers.
- Media Consent: By entering, you grant permission for the event hosts to share photos and highlight dishes on social media.

Kids’ Baking Contest Rules:
- Homemade Only: All entries must be made from scratch—no pre-made mixes or store-bought items allowed.
- Quantity: Typically, six individual items (like cookies, cupcakes, muffins, etc.) should be presented for judging.
- Adult Guidance: Minimal help from adults; children should perform the majority of baking themselves.
- Hygiene: Wash hands and follow safe kitchen practices before baking.
- Allergy Notice: Provide a list of ingredients for every entry to help identify common allergens.
